National Teen Driver Safety Week - October 19-25, 2014

The first year of driving for a teen will be their most dangerous year of driving, according to the NHTSA. This proves we need to take our young drivers and make sure they are taking every precaution when they first get behind the wheel and provide a safe vehicle for them to drive.

"You've been protecting your kids their whole lives. So don't just hand them the keys to a two-ton machine with no rules... Talk it out. Tell your teenagers they have to agree to 5 rules to drive:
  1. no cell phones,
  2. no extra passengers,
  3. no speeding,
  4. no alcohol, and
  5. buckle-up.
Set the rules before they hit the road."

The Toyota Prius c recently was listed in the top 5 safest vehicles for teens. It shows Toyota's dedication to safety in all their vehicles. "Every Prius c comes with Toyota’s Star Safety System™, an advanced suite of six safety features offered standard on every new Toyota. The system includes Enhanced Vehicle Stability Control, Traction Control, Anti-lock Brake System, Electronic Brake-force Distribution, Brake Assist and Smart Stop Technology®." It also has "energy-absorbing crumple zones that help dissipate that energy away from the passenger compartment" along with 9 airbags. NINE!
